Moisture changes with increasing summer precipitation in Qilian and Tienshan mountainous areas

چکیده
The precipitation in the Qilian (QMA) and Tienshan (TMA) mountain areas is one of main sources subsurface surface water northwestern China (NWC). Based on two datasets, CN05.1 station-observed daily precipitation, we found that summer 1979–2020 exhibited an increasing trend NWC. results rotation empirical orthogonal function (REOF) analysis also separated increased patterns QMA TMA from other REOF modes; proportion these to total NWC substantially (0.12%⋅year−1 0.03%⋅year−1, respectively). According moisture budget, evaporation changes were coherently coupled with which suggested feedback between recently warming climate. increase was larger than evaporation, indicating a net wetting TMA. zonal horizontal vertical advection terms contributed more QMA. meridional We concluded comprehensive frameworks vapor transport climate change aimed contribute understanding arid region hydrology.

Precipitation Resource Potential in Mountainous Areas in Hebei Province Analysis
The climatic conditions of Hebei Province cause this area shortage of water resources, man-made factors lead it more serious. In March 2007 in Hebei , 37 mountain counties got samples of soil and corn, conducted indoor tests, through analyzing Hebei rainfall and soil moisture and corn yield in mountains, using potential resource calculated model to precipitation, they analyzed and evaluated pre...
متن کاملSummer soil moisture regulated by precipitation frequency in China
Drought is one of the most important but least understood issues in global environmental changes. Decrease in soil moisture is an indicator of drought. Here, we analyze summer (June–August) soil moisture measurement data across 50 sites in China in order to investigate the linkage between climate change and drought. At the country scale, a significant decrease in summer soil moisture in the top...
متن کاملTopography and Data Mining Based Methods for Improving Satellite Precipitation in Mountainous Areas of China
Topography is a significant factor influencing the spatial distribution of precipitation. This study developed a new methodology to evaluate and calibrate the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission Multi-satellite Precipitation Analysis (TMPA) products by merging geographic and topographic information. In the proposed method, firstly, the consistency rule was introduced to evaluate the fitness of ...

15 صفحه اولQuantifying Energy Demand in Mountainous Areas
Despite their rich energy renewable potential, mountainous areas suffer from energy poverty. A viable solution seems to be the radical turn towards renewable resources. Any tailor-cut energy planning for mountainous areas presupposes the adequate estimation of the energy demand of buildings, which in this case is hindered by the lack of long-term meteorological data, especially in remote, high ...
